Welcome to South Dakota in the fall, a place where time seems to repeat itself.
When Rebecca Lee (US) and Jesper Malmberg (SWE) went there in 2006, they found themselves in the turmoil of the country's first abortion ban. Turning on the cameras initiated an understanding of how things were going down. A winding journey including local characters and more than a few cows, THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE unfolds as a portrait of America's heartland, faced with itself. As the vote draws nearer, this sleepy prairie state is tainted with the fear and loathing that surrounds America's abortion debate.
